Battery System for the XGRIDS Lixel K2 3D Scanner

XGRIDS K2 Battery System provides power for the Lixel K2 handheld 3D scanner and charges its replaceable battery during equipment preparation for operation. The battery is mounted on the lower part of the scanner, equipped with light indicators for charge monitoring, and fully charges in approximately 2 hours. The estimated battery lifespan is 300–500 charge-discharge cycles.

Operating Parameters

  • Compatibility with the XGRIDS Lixel K2 handheld 3D scanner.
  • Removable battery design.
  • Installation on the bottom of the scanner housing.
  • Mechanical locking system.
  • Full charging time — approximately 2 hours.
  • Light indication of battery status.
  • Estimated lifespan — approximately 300–500 cycles.
  • After reaching the estimated lifespan, capacity may be 70–80% of the original capacity.

Attaching the Battery to the Scanner

The battery is installed on the lower part of the XGRIDS Lixel K2. To install it, press the latch, place the battery into the designated mounting position, and release the locking mechanism.

Before starting the scanner, check that the battery is installed correctly and securely locked. The removable design allows the battery to be detached for subsequent charging or replacement.

Battery Charging

The battery is charged using the appropriate charger. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.

The charge level can be monitored using the built-in light indicators. They display four ranges:

  • 0–24%;
  • 25–49%;
  • 50–74%;
  • 75–99%.

The indication makes it possible to assess the battery status before starting data collection and prepare the equipment for operation in a timely manner.

Charge Monitoring During Operation

Before field scanning, the recommended charge level is 51%, which corresponds to three indicator bars.

When the charge level drops to 10%, the scanner notifies the operator of a low battery level. After such a warning appears, the collected data should be saved and the current scan should be completed before the device may shut down.

Service Life and Storage

The estimated battery lifespan is 300–500 charge-discharge cycles. After this, its capacity may decrease to 70–80% of the original level.

After completing daily work, it is recommended to fully charge the battery. During long-term storage, the charge should be replenished at least once every 3 months. If the battery has a very low charge level or is completely discharged, it should be charged within 3 days.

A dry and cool place is suitable for storing the battery.

Compatibility

The battery system is used with the handheld 3D scanner:

  • XGRIDS Lixel K2.
