SHINING 3D FreeScan Combo+ Wireless is a wireless handheld 3D scanner designed for accurate part measurement and inspection. Wireless Scanning with Wi-Fi 7
FreeScan Combo+ Wireless uses Wi-Fi 7 for fast and stable data transmission. Interference protection helps maintain the connection in production environments and during outdoor operation. USB 3.0 connectivity is also available.
Wireless connectivity allows the operator to move around the part without a constant cable connection. This is convenient when scanning large objects and hard-to-reach areas.
Measurement Accuracy
FreeScan Combo+ Wireless offers an accuracy of 0.02 mm, allowing users to inspect part dimensions and shape. Volumetric accuracy is 0.02 mm + 0.03 mm/m, and with VPG it is 0.02 mm + 0.015 mm/m. The scanners are calibrated in a SHINING 3D laboratory accredited by CNAS in accordance with ISO 17025. Accuracy testing is performed according to ISO 10360.
VPG for Scanning Large Parts
VPG technology helps maintain accuracy when scanning large parts. During operation, the system refines the position of the markers and helps reduce measurement error as the size of the object increases. Volumetric accuracy with VPG is 0.02 mm + 0.015 mm/m.
Scanning Speed and 93 Laser Lines
In high-speed mode, FreeScan Combo+ Wireless uses 93 laser lines. The scanner captures more surface data in a single pass, helping complete scans faster. Maximum scanning speed reaches 9,106,000 points/s.
A frame rate of up to 180 frames/s helps track the surface while the scanner is moving quickly. The model is suitable for complex surfaces, deep holes, narrow grooves, and large parts. The 3D mesh is generated in real time.

Software and Part Inspection
FreeScan Combo+ Wireless supports SHINING3D Inspect. The software allows users to inspect part dimensions, compare captured results with specified parameters, and create reports.
During scanning, the 3D mesh is displayed in real time. The software can also recognize circular and rectangular holes and grooves, adjust mesh resolution according to the surface shape, and display the quality of the captured data. The distance to the part can be monitored using on-screen guidance or the scanner's LED indicator.
